DSCSC Commandant bids farewell
June 17, 2022The outgoing Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) Major General Nishantha Herath paid his farewell call on the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry, today (17 Jun).
The Defence Secretary praised the services of the outgoing DSCSC Commandant during the cordial discussion and extended warm wishes for his future endeavours.
During his illustrious military career, Maj. Gen. Herath has held a number of Operational, Instructional and Staff appointments and has been decorated with the Desha Putra Paddakkama for being wounded in action.
He is due to retire from active service on completion of a 35 year-long successful military career.
Ensuing the discussion, mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
