KDU to strengthen ties with National Defence University of Malaysia
June 18, 2022General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) participated in a bilateral meeting with the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM) in order to discuss joint collaborative activities and preparations for ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), heads of Defence Universities, Colleges, Institutions Meeting (HDUCIM).
Further strengthening bonds between the two institutions, KDU Vice Chancellor (VC) Major General Milinda Peiris and a KDU delegation are planning a visit to NDUM for the ceremony of signing the MoU which is to be held this year, the KDU said.
During the discussion, NDUM had thanked KDU for the hospitality given to several of its former Vice Chancellors when they visited KDU to take part in annual International Research Conference (IRC).
In response, KDU VC extended an invitation to NDUM VC to take part in this year’s IRC, which is to be held in September 2022, the KDU sources revealed.
Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Services, Industry Relations, and Corporate Affairs) Dato’ Dr. Junaidah Binti Kamarruddin with senior officials of NDUM and Deputy VC (Defence & Admin) Brig. W Chandrasiri along with KDU senior officials participated in the event, the KDU added.
