SLAF inaugurates urban agriculture motivational programme

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) inaugurated an Urban Agriculture Motivational Programme covering all SLAF establishments under the patronage of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson Charmini Pathirana on 16 June.
The noble cause themed ‘Niwahanata Aswenna’ is a project mooted to promote a self-motivated routine among the people in order to cultivate vegetables for their consumption within available areas of the General Service Quarters and Messes and to take every possible measure to prepare for the future.
Accordingly, a vegetable saplings donation ceremony was also conducted at the SLAF Guwanpura General Service Quarter’s premises and the event was graced by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson, the Air Force said.
