SL Army troops’ treat to preschool children in Wanni
June 23, 2022Sri Lanka Army troops in Wanni extended their hospitality to a group of preschool children when they provided them with a sumptuous lunch during their sports festival recently.
According to SL Army media, troops of 562 Brigade of the 56 Division HQ under command to Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ- Wanni) made the day more memorable to the children of Ichchankulam pre-school during their annual sports festival held recently (17 Jun) by offering them a tasty lunch.
Army troops treated these children along with their teachers and parents to lunch using their own funds with the aim to further promote goodwill between them and the local communities, it says.
This social service initiative was taken with guidance of Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Major General Champaka Ranasinghe and support of General Officer Commanding 56 Division Major General Saman Liyanage and other senior officers.
