SL Army troops offer badminton training to northern students
July 01, 2022Sri Lanka Army (SLA) troops in Kilinochchi conducted a badminton training workshop for a group of students and teachers in the region recently (28 Jun). According to SLA media, 77 students and 15 teachers from 6 schools in Kilinochchi had attended the workshop conducted at the Kilinochchi Stadium.
The training workshop arranged in order to popularize the sport among school children was conducted by Krishantha Godahewa and Lieutenant A.P.C. Godahewa. Troops also provided the participants with lunch and refreshments, it says.
Commander, Security Forces- Mullaitvu Major General Sanjaya Wansinghe presented certificates to the participants and a memento to Krishantha Godahewa for his contribution.
