Army donates Blood
July 07, 2022Sri Lanka Army (SLA) following a request of the Central Blood Bank donated blood at a blood donation camp organized at the Vishaka Vidyalaya in Colombo recently.
Accordingly, troops attached to 142 and 144 Brigades of the Security Force Headquarters-West volunteered to donate their blood at the blood donation campaign organized by the school management, the Army said.
A group of 40 officers and soldiers donated much needed blood to replenish stocks at the Central Blood Bank.
Commander, Security Forces-West considering the acute shortage of blood prevailing in island-wide hospitals extended his support for the project, the SLA added.
