Army-built new house vested in a needy family in Jaffna
July 26, 2022Sri Lanka Army while broadening its community service scope further, erected a new house for a deserving low-income group family in Chandrapuram, Chavakachcheri recently and vested in the family recently.
The Army sources stated 4 and 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops of the 523 Brigade under the 52 Division under the Security Force HQ-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) completed the project with their engineering and technical skills and manpower under the directions of Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna, Maj. Gen. Chandana Wijayasundara.
Financial support was extended by Mr V. Manoharan of ‘Sathya Sri’ Organization in the Jaffna Peninsula, the Army added.
The keys of the new house were handed over to the beneficiary, Mrs Nagamani Saraswathy and her family during a brief ceremony.
The family also received dry ration packs and essential household items for the new house along with a stock of stationeries, needed for studies of those school students in the family, the Army Media confirmed.
Senior Officers, Government Officials, beneficiaries and their family members were also present at the occasion.
