New Additional Secretary - Defence appointed
August 02, 2022Mr. R M P S Rathnayake was appointed as the Additional Secretary - Defence at the Ministry of Defence yesterday (Aug 01).
Mr. Rathnayaka received his Letter of Appointment from the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne during a brief ceremony held at the Ministry yesterday.
Prior to taking over the new assignment he performed duties as the Additional Secretary - Parliament Affairs, Policy and Planning at the Ministry of Defence.
His predecessor Mr. P B S C Nonis has been appointed as the Director General of Customs.
