New Additional Secretary - Parliament Affairs, Policy and Planning appointed
August 03, 2022Mrs. Indika Wijegunawardana has been appointed as the Additional Secretary - Parliament Affairs, Policy and Planning at the Ministry of Defence effective from today (Aug 03).
Accordingly, Mrs. Wijegunawardana received her Letter of Appointment from the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne during a brief ceremony held at the Ministry today.
Mrs. Wijegunawardana is a special grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service and has served as an Additional Secretary to the President prior taking over this appointment.
She has held various prestigious appointments and also has performed duties as the Land Commissioner at the Land Commissioner General's Department in her career spanning of over 22 years.
Her predecessor Mr. R M P S Rathnayake was appointed as the Additional Secretary - Defence on Aug 01.
