Defence Secretary broadens knowledge of SL NDC officers

Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne delivered a lecture on a contemporarily significant topic and disseminated his knowledge to a galaxy of professionals at National Defence College (NDC) Sri Lanka today (10 Aug).

The comprehensive lecture of Gen. Gunaratne on ‘National Security Strategy Decision-Making Structure in Sri Lanka’ greatly facilitated the audience to widen their horizons on the diverse facets of national security aspects during the session.

National Defence College was established on 11 November 2021 as the premier security and strategic educational institution for the senior officers of the Tri-Services, Police and Public Service to broaden their strategic intellectual capacity on policy advisory and national security policymaking.

Gen. Gunaratne conducted the lecture at the invitation of the Commandant NDC, Maj. Gen. Amal Karunasekara who warmly received the Defence Secretary at his arrival to the venue.

Towards the end of the session, mementos were also exchanged between the Defence Secretary and the NDC Commandant signifying the importance of the occasion.
