Drug awareness programme for teachers in Jaffna
August 27, 2019An awareness programme on drug prevention for teachers in Velani Divisional Secretariat area in Jaffna was conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy, recently. The programme, held in keeping with the “Rata Wenuwen Ekata Sitimu” programme of President Maithripala Sirisena was held at the Saraswathy College in Velani, on Friday (23rd August 2019), states Navy media.
Awareness programmes are scheduled to be held from 23rd to 30th (August) covering Divisional Secretariats areas in Jaffna. These programmes are held under the guidance of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, with the intention to educate the younger generation of the harmful effects of drugs in order to create a drug free country.
