SLAF on standby due to inclement weather conditions
August 31, 2022Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) is on standby to deploy aircraft and rescue personnel during the prevailing inclement weather in the island.
The surveillance aircraft, helicopters and specially trained Regimental Special Forces of SLAF are currently on standby to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations following the instructions of SLAF Commander Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, the SLAF said.
