Army organized a Soccer match for Jaffna Youths
September 13, 2022Sri Lanka Army’s Jaffna-based troops organized a friendly soccer encounter between Jaffna Youth Team and Kaddaikadu Youth Team at Kaddaikadu Football Ground recently with the presence of the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna, Maj. Gen. Chandana Wijayasundera.
The match aimed at promoting sportsmanship, goodwill and understanding between the Army and Northern civil sports, was staged amidst cheers of a large gathering of sportsmen in the area, the Army Media reported.
Commander of Security Forces - Jaffna awarded trophies and prizes to the winners and achievers in the friendly tussle during the occasion attended by state officials, troops in the Jaffna peninsula and civilians, the Army stated.
