Premitha Bandara Thennakoon appointed as Acting Minister of Defence
September 18, 2022- President left for UK to attend the funeral of British Monarch Queen Elizabeth II.
Five State Ministers including the State Minister of Defence have been appointed as Acting Ministers, the President Media Division (PMD) said.
They will be the in charge of respective Ministries during the absence of Hon. President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who left for United Kingdom to attend the funeral of British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
Accordingly, State Minister Premitha Bandara Thennakoon has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Defence, the PMD also said.
