New three-storied Sanghavasa building vested in Maha Sangha
October 10, 2022The newly built three-storied Sanghavasa building at the historic Olabaduwa Raja Maha Viharaya was declared open and vested in the Maha Sangha today morning (Oct 10) during a religious ceremony graced by the Prime Minister Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena.
Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne and Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugethenna also participated in the occasion.
Sri Lanka Navy constructed the three-storied Sanghavasa with the financial contribution of the Ministry of Buddha Sasana Religious and Cultural Affairs and the Managing Director of Boralasgamuwa Aquora Lanka Pvt. Ltd. Nishantha Thilakaratne.
Hon. Prime Minister presented the ‘Sannas Pathra’ certificate of the inauguration of the three-storied Sanghavasa building to the Chief Incumbent of Olabotuwa Raja Maha Vihara and Talagala Vipassana Meditation Centre, Chief Karmanacharya, Sastravedi Pandit Uduwe Hemaloka.
The religious ceremony saw the participation of a large number of Venerable Maha Sangha under the blessings of Ven. Warakagoda Dhammasiddhi Sri Panjananda Gnanaratne thero, dignitaries including Members of Parliament and the invitees.
