SL Peacekeepers receive medals
October 11, 2022The Sri Lanka peacekeepers in the 8th Contingent of SRIMED Level 2 Hospital in South Sudan in appreciation of their service were awarded medals during a formal UN medal awarding ceremony recently at the UNMISS-Bor compound.
The UNMISS Force Commander Lt. Gen. Mohan Subramanian graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour while the Sector East Commander Brig. Gen. Dhruba Prakash Shah, the Head of Field Office Mrs Geetha Pious and many other civil and military dignitaries were present at the event, Sri Lanka Army Media reported.
Commanding Officer of Sri Lanka's 8th Contingent of SRIMED Level 2 Hospital Lt. Col. N.M Niflar welcomed the visiting officials.
