'Poverty to Prosperity' book launched
October 14, 2022State Minister of Defence Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon and Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne attended as a special guests at the launching of the book ‘Poverty to Prosperity’ at the Government Information Department in Colombo today (Oct 14).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Ali Sabry graced the occasion as the chief guest while Minister of Transport and Highways and Minister of Mass Media Hon. Bandula Gunawardane was the guest of honour.
Authored by Milinda Rajapaksha, Additional Director General of the Government Information Department and Chanuka Wattegama, Lecturer, Engineer and Scientific Author, both the Sinhala and its English translation of the book were launched at the occasion. The book is written as review of the development model of South Korea.
The two authors also presented copies of the book to the State Minister of Defence and Defence Secretary during the occasion.
