Coast Guard new DG receives the letter of appointment
October 28, 2022Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana has been appointed as the 7th Director General (DG) of Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) following the retirement of his predecessor Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake.
Accordingly, Rear Admiral Vithana received his letter of appointment from the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry today (Oct 28).
Prior to being appointed to the post of DG, Rear Admiral Vithana was the Deputy Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
