SL Air Force assists to airlift mortal remains of accident victim to Colombo
November 01, 2022The mortal remains of a deceased accident victim were flown in to the Sri Lanka National Hospital in Colombo from the Badulla General Hospital on a Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) helicopter yesterday (31 Oct).
According to SLAF media, the remains of the deceased were brought to Colombo on a Bell 412 helicopter to retrieve vital organs for transplant including a heart transplant at the Colombo National Hospital.
The air operation was carried out in keeping with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Sri Lanka Air Force and the Ministry of Health.
