Met. Dept. forecasts more rain
November 01, 2022According to the latest weather forecast of the Metrology Department, heavy rains of above 100mm can be expected at some places in many parts of the country including the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Uva and Northern provinces while fairly heavy showers of above 50mm can be expected elsewhere.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the Island during the afternoon or at night.
The prevailing wet weather is due to a low-level atmospheric disturbance closer to the island. The forecast also predicts the showery condition to continue further.
The general public and fishing communities are requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by inclement weather related incidents.
