Army supports a needy family to make a living
November 03, 2022Sri Lanka Army’s 55 Division Headquarters of the Security Force HQ– Jaffna recently donated a sewing machine to a needy family at Kevil, Jaffna empowering to uplift the living condition of the family.
Mrs P Subadra of Colombo donated the sewing machine, worth about Rs 175,000/= to provide relief to the economic burden of Mrs Maduran Nadiya and her two daughters and the son, the Army reported.
The 55 Division HQ also allocated a separate location for her to sell her sewn garments and 55 Division General Officer Commanding Maj. Gen. Prasanna Gunaratne was present at the inauguration, the Army confirmed.
