New Army Commander calls on State Minister
September 03, 2019The newly appointed Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva made a call on the State Minister of Defence, Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene at the Ministry, today (03rd September 2019).
This is the Army Commander's first official meeting with the State Minister since assuming office as the 23rd Commander of the Army, last Month. (21st August).
A cordial discussion was held during the meeting where the State Minister Wijewardene conveyed his best wishes to the new Army Commander.
Mementos were also exchanged during the occasion.
