New Army Commander calls on Secretary
September 03, 2019The newly appointed Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva made a call on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General SHS Kottegoda (Rtd), WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc at the Ministry, today (03rd September 2019).
This is the Army Commander's first official meeting with the Secretary Defence since assuming office as the 23rd Commander of the Army, last month. (21st August).
A cordial discussion was held during the meeting where the Secretary Defence conveyed his best wishes to the new Commander of the Army.
Mementos were also exchanged during the occasion.
