Navy brings ashore injured seaman
September 20, 2019A Navy Fast Attack Craft (FAC) was dispatched to bring ashore an injured seaman onboard an oil tanker, on Thursday (19 September). The FAC was rushed to retrieve the patient after information received from the International Ship and Port Facility Security(ISPS) unit of Colombo Port.
The Navy craft reached the location at seas 12 nautical miles off Colombo Light House and hurried back to the Colombo harbor. The patient was later sent to the Colombo General Hospital for further treatment.
