Christian ceremony held in view of 70th Army anniversary
October 05, 2019A special Christian blessing ceremony was held in view of the 70th Army Day celebrations at the St. Mary's Church in Bambalapitiya, Colombo 04, on Friday evening (04).
The ceremony was organized by the Army Christian Association.
The religious service was led by Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
Blessings were made on all members of the Army and the flags during the ceremony.
Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General, Shavendra Silva, senior Army officers and a large nuber of Army personnel were present at the occasion.
