Navy engages in cleaning beaches in Southern Naval Area
October 12, 2019As another extension of Navy's beach cleaning effort, several beach areas Southern area were cleaned by the SL Navy, today (12 October 2019).
Accordingly, the Mahamodara, Tangalle and Wellawatta beach areas were cleaned by a campaign organized by the Southern Naval Command. Plastic remaining and other garbage scattered over the beach which gave an unpleasant look to scenic beauty of the beaches , were collected and disposed by this cleaning effort.
This nature of eco friendly activities are conducted at almost every naval command in order to maintain a beautiful coastal line.
