''Galle Dialogue 2019'' begins tomorrow
October 20, 2019Sri Lanka Navy's flagship international Maritime conference, the "Galle Dialogue 2019" is set to begin at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo, tomorrow (21st October).
President Maithripala Sirisena, is scheduled to grace the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest.
This is the tenth in the sequence of this International Maritime Conference and will be held in Colombo on the 21st and 22nd (October) under the theme ‘Refining Mindset to Address Transnational Maritime Threats; A Review of the Decade’.
Representatives from 55 countries, 12 international organizations and 03 Defence Industries are expected to make their presence in this year’s event at the invitation of the Sri Lanka Navy.
The "Galle Dialogue", this year intends to focus on addressing the future with revised mind-set to meet the maritime threats based on the experiences of last 10 years from all stakeholders.
