‘Colombo Air Symposium-2019’ to begin tomorrow

The ‘Colombo Air Symposium- 2019’ will be held this year on 24th and 25th of this month (October 2019). The Sri Lanka Air Force organized international conference will be held at the Eagles’ Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall in Attidiya.

According to Air Force media, the two-day conference being held under the theme “A Small Air Force: Way Forward in Achieving Future Vision” is scheduled to be attended by over 40 military leaders, technical experts, global think tanks and diplomats representing all regions. This will the fifth in the series of symposiums conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force.

A press briefing was held to announce of the symposium chaired by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias, at the Air Force Headquarters, yesterday (22).

This year's theme "A Small Air Force: Way Forward in Achieving Future Vision" is focused on exploring the role of small air forces in a future which emphasizes the importance of strategic intervention of Air Power in coining pragmatic solutions for the matters stemming from the national security concerns as well the other widening global issues such as the global warming and natural disasters.
