Rear Admiral (Retd) Shemal Fernando pinned a Poppy Flower on the Secretary Defence during the occasion.
The Poppy Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries since the end of the first World War to commemorate the fallen armed forces personnel while on duty.
