Kilinochchi troops donate blood
October 28, 2019Sri Lanka Army troops in Kilinochchi made their voluntary presence to donate much needed blood to replenish stocks at the Kilinochchi Blood Bank, on Saturday (26).
According to Army media, troops in response to a request made by undergraduates of the Faculty of Agriculture and Engineering at the University of Jaffna in Ariviyal Nagar volunteered to donate much needed blood which would be used for the requirements of the cancer patients.
The undergrads had organized the blood donation campaign together with the Kilinochchi hospital staff.
Troops regularly volunteer to donate blood to Blood Banks of state hospitals to assist the treatment of deserving patients there.
