‘Abhimansala’ inmates visit Nagadeepa Viharaya
October 28, 2019A group of disable inmates of the "Abimansala" wellness resort in Kamburupitiya were facilitated with sea transport to visit the Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya, on Saturday (26th October).
According Navy media, the Navy has provided this facility to the visiting inmates of the wellness resort upon the direction of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. They were taken onboard a naval craft for safe transit between the Naval jetty to Nainativu jetty.
During the visit to the temple, the disable War Heroes met the Chief Incumbent and Sanganayake of Northern Province, Praveenacharya Venerable Navadagala Padimakiththi Tissa Thero and received his blessings.
Meanwhile, naval personnel attached to the Naval Detachment at Nainativu, showing their concern for the welfare of these deserving War Heroes of their sister service hosted them for lunch, making their visit more memorable.
