Accolades for President from Vice Chancellors, Police Department and Tri-forces

For the first time in history a President in power being unbiased paves room for peaceful and fair election claims President Sirisena

President Maithripala Sirisena claimed that for the first time in history a President in power option to remain unbiased paves the room for a peaceful and fair election while adding that it is a feature of a democratic country.

As the Minister of Defense and the person in charge of Police Department the President has instructed all the institutes related to Defense Service and Police to carry-out their jobs fairly in attempt to make this a peaceful election.

The President said this during a meeting organized to appreciate his work his by the Police Department at its auditorium today (15).

The President was warmly welcomed as he arrived in Police Department auditorium in the morning.

The President then joined the Inspector General of Police C.D.Wickramaratne and few other senior officers in a meeting.

The work of President in the welfare of Police including the promotions to number of policemen was appreciated during the event.

Further there was a special meeting with the Tri-forces yesterday (13) evening during which the President’s efforts were appreciated.

The Secretary to the Defense Ministry, few staff officials and Commanders of the Army, Navy and Air Force were present at the particular meeting.

In addition all the Vice Chancellors also gathered at the President’s Office yesterday.

The President’s effort in the welfare of University students and uplifting the quality of education was appreciated during this meeting.  The example set by the President during the Election was also commended by the experts.
