Large numbers of G.C.E. Ordinary Level students attend Army organized educational seminars
November 16, 2019A large number of students in Kilinochchi were benefitted by a Sri Lanka Army organized series of educational seminars recently. According to Army media, the seminars were organized by the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi for the students who would be sitting the G.C.E. O/L exam in December (2019).
The seminars were held at the Nelum Piyasa auditorium, Piramanthal Aru Vidyalaya, Dharamapuram Maha Vidyalaya and at the Utility Center in Kilinochchi. Several hundred students eagerly attended the seminars where they were provided with model papers and handouts by the Sri Lanka Army.
Students attending these seminars were able brush up their knowledge in English, Mathematics, Science, History and Aesthetic subjects. Troops also provided the students with free snacks, lunch and transportation as well.
Army troops in the Northern region regularly carryout such programmes free of charge with the intention to uplift the educational standards of the student community there. These programmes are conducted with the assistance of Education Department authorities and qualified teachers.
