7th Executive President His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksa
November 18, 2019The newly elect President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksa was sworn in as the 7th Executive President at a swearing-in ceremony held at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya in Anuradhapura, today (18 November 2019). He took oaths before the Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya.
Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General (Retd) SHS Kottegoda, WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc, was also present at the occasion.
President Rajapaksa won the popular vote at the Presidential Election held on Saturday (16 November 2019) to become the 7th Executive President of Sri Lanka.
