Secretary Chairs Meeting with Police Narcotic Bureau Officers
November 22, 2019Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Major General (Rtd) Kamal Gunaratne WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, chaired a special meeting with senior officers of the Police Narcotic Bureau at the Ministry, today (22 November 2019). Acting Inspector General of Police Mr. C D Wickramaratne was also present at the meeting.
A number of important topics including combatting drug trafficking, public awareness and prevention were taken up for discussion at the meeting. The Secretary issued necessary instructions to the Police to take tough measures to curb the drug menace from the country.
Senior DIG Mr. M R Latheef was also present at the meeting.
