SL helped to restore regional peace by defeating LTTE- Pakistan Foreign Minister Qureshi
December 03, 2019Pakistan Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who is on a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka, has highly commended the Sri Lankan government’s efforts in eradicating terrorism and defeating the LTTE to restore peace in the region.
Foreign Minister Qureshi, who met Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at the Foreign Ministry, yesterday, had discussed the growing bilateral relations that could be further diversified and developed in the main sectors.
Commending the Sri Lankan government's efforts in strengthening defence cooperation, he said Pakistan was looking forward for further intelligence sharing to help each other as committed neighbours.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Qureshi also called on H.E the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
