Defence Ministry Seva Vanitha Unit presents school gifts packs for employees children
December 30, 2019More than 500 children of Defence Ministry employees were presented with gift packs of school books, bags and gift vouchers for shoes during a ceremony held today (30) at the Ministry auditorium.
Mrs. Chithrani Gunaratne graced the event, as the chief guest organized by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry.
In a symbolic gesture, the chief guest presented gift packs for 30 children during the ceremony.
These gifts were presented to these children as an educational incentive and also as a welfare measure to provide relief to their parents during this festive season. School going children of all employees both service personnel and civil staff were provided with gift packs.
Senior Ministry officials, Military Liaison Officer, Seva Vanitha Unit officials and a representative gathering of Ministry staff were present at the occasion.
This is one of the many welfare programme initiated by the Seva Vanitha Unit for the benefit of the Ministry employees.
