Defence Secretary reviews work of CSD branch at Kollupitiya
January 07, 2020Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne today (07) made an inspection visit to the Defence Ministry’s Civil Security and Development (CSD) branch at Kollupitiya in Colombo 3.
Making his first visit to this arm of the Ministry since assuming office, Maj.Gen. Gunaratne was briefed on the operations by the senior officials. The Secretary reviewed the progress of work and inquired into task in hand and future plans in the meantime. He also issued necessary instructions for the matters discussed.
Afterwards, Defence Secretary accompanied by the officials inspected all the office complexes and also had cordial discussions with respective staffs in the meantime. Further inquiring into routine work, he emphasized respective staffs to execute their duties and responsibilities in an efficient manner.
Senior officials including Senior Assistant Secretary Prasanna Kiriwanthuduwa were present at the occasion.
