MIDAS safety donates 52,000 gloves to fight against COVID-19

Supporting Defence Ministry’s initiative to fight COVID-19, Prime Polymer Division of MIDAS Safety Group in Avissawella handed over a package of gloves to the Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne at a function held at the Defence Ministry, today (17).

Defence Secretary received 52,000 pairs of hand gloves from the Deputy General Manager Operations of Prime Polymer Division Nalin Jayaweera during the session.

50,000 gloves of the package are unique as they are made for medical practitioners and the other 2,000 are for general cleaning purpose.
 
The donation was meant to extend the company’s fullest support to the military in fighting against the coronavirus outbreak.

This donation of 52,000 pairs of rubber gloves will be of immense use for the Tri- Forces in fighting against the spread of coronavirus and would be a morale booster.

Staff members of the MIDAS Safety Group were also present at the occasion.
