Director of National Cadet Corps (NCC) presents memento to General Kottegoda reminiscing his glorious journey from College Cadet to Secretary Defence.
July 25, 2019The Director of the National Cadet Corps, Major General MMS Perera made courtesy call on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General SHS Kottegoda (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc, on Wednesday (24th July 2019).
On behalf of the Director, Officers & Cadets of the National Cadet Corps, Major General MMS Perera presented a memento to the Secretary Defence during the meeting in a show of respect and gratitude for his successive journey as a Junior Cadet (L/Sgt) / Senior Cadet (CQMS) from his alma Mater S.Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, to becoming a Commissioned Officer of the CLI Regiment of Sri Lanka Army, thereafter holding the highest appointment in the Army as the 17th Commander and currently holding the appointment as the Secretary Defence.
