Hayleys Group donates 10,000 pairs of rubber gloves to Environmental Police

Supporting the Government's initiative to conserve environment Dipped Products PLC (DPPLC), which is functioning under the Hayleys Group, handed over a stock of rubber gloves to the Police Environmental Protection Division (PEPD) at a function held at the Defence Ministry, today.  

Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne received the donation of 10,000  pairs of hand gloves from DPPLC.

He received the stocks of hand gloves from the DPPLC's Chairman and Chief Executive Mohan Pandithage.

The stocks of hand gloves were later handed over to the Acting Inspector General of Police C.D. Wickramaratne, who subsequently gave it to Director PEPD Superintendent of D.S.K. Pushpa Kumara.

The donation is meant to extend the company's fullest support to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's initiative to protect the environment.

The Police are organising environment healthy programmes to educate people on the importance of protecting the environment giving their direct contribution to ensure a clean environment.

In this effort, this donation of 10,000 pairs of rubber gloves will be of immense use for the officers attached to the PEPD.

Director Operations of the Group Pushpika Janadheera, Director Finance Ramesh Nanayakkara, Director Sales Indika Kulathunga and Group Security Manager Hemantha Adhikari were also present on the occasion.
